Principal's Message

A School with a long history, St. Stephen's College Preparatory School has always been a pioneer in adapting to the needs of the changing world. Over the years we have been proactive in integrating the traditional teaching methods with the modern ones. We have managed to infuse internationalism in education in the local education setting so that the prerequisites of present day education are met. This has helped our students to seamlessly fit into the practical world.

Foreseeing the demand of multilingualism in education, the School adapted the trilingual language policy over a decade ago. This has helped the students in our school to keep up with the language demands and be fluent in English, Putonghua and Cantonese. A team of professionally qualified and dedicated local and international teachers help us to achieve our vision by creating conducive ambience for our students to learn.

The culture of inquiry based learning is an integral part of our teaching methodology. The School believes in nurturing students who know 'How to think' along with 'what to think'. This is achieved by encouraging and exposing our students to various mentally invigorating learning experiences. This is enhanced and supported by a tailor-made curriculum, which exposes students to in-class and out-of class learning. Teachers, with the help of the latest technology, create a productive learning environment for our students. Outside the classroom, overseas education and theme-based trips are effective learning tools, in which students are exposed to practical learning experiences.

Our huge, state of art campus also plays an important role in the holistic development of our students. Along with academics, equal emphasis is laid on the extra-curricular activities. Our sports facilities, the environment friendly surroundings with a special green corner for students, a well stocked library and numerous other special rooms for students for various purposes, contribute to the multi-faceted learning that we aspire for our students.

One of our unique features is our one year compulsory boarding programme, which helps our students to become independent mentally, emotionally and physically. This 'home-away-from-home', gives them an opportunity to develop their inter-personal and intra-personal skills along with some useful life skills.

We also strongly affirm in the belief that our students will actively give back to the society by bringing about meaningful changes and sustaining its development. With all these, we hope to shape the young minds of today into thinking leaders of tomorrow.
