The axiom “You are what you eat” gains more significance when it comes to children’s health, which largely depends on the choices of food made available to them by parents, schools and the society at large. School-aged children become increasingly aware of the importance of maintaining a healthy diet. The availability and accessibility to fast food has posed an interesting challenge to society. The excessive intake of fat, sugar and salt has had an adverse effect on children’s health. To combat this pandemic, the School has launched a Green Day to provide balanced meals. One day a week, students are served vegetarian food choices. This it not beneficial to our students but also benefits the environment.
